I am very happy to announce that the third single from Bear and the Bird is released today.
At the end of the Tunnel out on all digital streaming platforms worldwide. Always a really great feeling to finally see the fruit of the process out and ready to live its own life.
It has been a long way since I started working on this track. And for that very reason I also have to admit that it feels kind of far. But the process of creating and finishing tracks is not a fast one always.
Mentioning this lead to an interesting talk with Dynatron and Code Elektro about the creative process and releasing music that already feels old. Everything happens with such a long delay, due to the processes of preparing the single, artwork, registrations and paperwork that is essential for a release – even when its only digital, as for these two gentlemen they add vinyl press and other things to the list. In comparison my setup is relatively simple.
Anyways, an essential point was agreed upon: that music does not necessarily reflect you as an artist in the moment its released – but its telling a story about where you have been on a certain point – mentally, creatively etc. and the music should also be heard as such. This single will be around for many years. And its telling a story of where I was as an artist at certain point in time, almost 1,5 years ago when I was turning knobs and faders on our terrasse in the garden.
